The SMT338-VP takes longer to configure than other Sundance FPGA-only TIMs. As there is no mechanism provided by the hardware to check whether the FPGA is ready or not, tasks should wait at least 50ms before sending data to the links of the SMT338-VP to avoid data being lost. You can call timer_delay(50) in your DSP tasks or implement an equivalent delay in your FPGA tasks.
Because of the hardware problem discussed above, it is not possible to boot a Diamond application through an SMT338-VP.
