As the configurer processes your configuration files it checks for errors and reports any it finds. The error messages have been designed to be as explicit as possible, however, we would be grateful if you would report any error messages that you find unclear or difficult to understand.
One error can often lead to consequential ones; fixing the first error automatically fixes the others. For this reason you should always investigate and correct errors in the order in which they are reported.
Sometimes the effects of an error may be so dramatic that continuing to process the configuration file creates a snowstorm of further errors or results in extremely obscure and confusing messages. In these circumstances the configurer stops with the message 'Previous errors make it unwise to continue'. You should correct the earlier errors and try the configuration step again.
