Once you have defined a number of processors in your project you need to specify how they are physically connected with communication links and wires.
You create wires by double-clicking Wires in the Diamond source view to bring up the following screen.
You can select the source and destination links from the lists. Note that when one end has been selected, only compatible links are displayed for the other end. After selecting both ends, you click Connect to create the wire. Note that wires are removed from the source and destination lists as they become unavailable for subsequent use.
When FPGAs are involved, once you have created a wire you can select the appropriate clock domain to use by selecting the wire from the list and clicking Edit. Clock domains are created from the FPGA options screen.
Edit can also be used to rename the wire or prevent it from being involved in the loading process (the configurer's NOBOOT attribute, DSP only).
Placing connections on wires The Diamond configurer usually determines which wires to use for channels connecting tasks. You can explicitly place a connection on a wire by selecting the connection from the connections page and clicking Edit.
Select the wire for this connection and click Finish. Note that you are given the option of placing a connection of a wire only if you have created suitable wires that connect the processors associated with the end points of the connection.
