Getting Started
If you are unfamiliar with Diamond, you should take a look at the introductory videos on your installation disc and on the 3L web site, or jump straight to the Getting Started section of this help file.
You can also launch the Diamond IDE right away and investigate the tutorials and examples that have been designed to get you started quickly. Go to the Windows start menu and select All Programs then 3L Diamond and then Diamond IDE
The Diamond IDE starts by asking for a location for its workspace: just accept its suggestion by clicking OK. You now have three options to select from:
1.
First Steps guides you step-by-step through some simple Diamond applications.
2.
Samples lets you import and build a selection of Diamond projects.
3.
Workbench takes you directly to the main part of the IDE where you would normally start working.
