Simulating a Stand-alone FPGA

Top  Previous  Next

You communicate with a stand-alone FPGA via its links.

We suggest you create a testbench in which the FPGA is connected to simulation models for its links. You then connect these links to a stimulus component. The user interface of the simulation models of links provided with Diamond is based on the same channels you use in your FPGA task.

Be aware that your testbench may need to simulate the physical properties of the cable connecting the links. For example you may need to pull-up or pull-down the signals.
